The apparent immobility: PEZ ESFINGE is a research work on details of the underwater nature that go unnoticed, of spaces that apparently remain motionless. A work closely related to SHY BLUE.
Some fish give the impression of being anchored in the same place, and yet this is something they achieve because they swim against the current. They are not the only ones, there are multiple examples when you look closely, “scenes of invisible nature”.
PEZ ESFINGE proposes a parallelism between these underwater details and people. Shyness hides a place within ourselves that is unknown to us, an abyssal depth that hides our deepest nature and that, when it emerges, reveals an enormous force.
In the underwater world there are many of these almost imperceptible movements that, nevertheless, surprise when they become explosive.
