The Elías Aguirre Company, based in Madrid, stands out for its long history and unique scenic perspective, rooted in the exploration of "invisible nature".
It fuses contemporary dance techniques , urban dance and physical theater to create captivating and profound stage experiences.
Among its most outstanding creations are “entomo”, “Shy Blue”, “Sphinx Fish”, “Primitive Insect”, “Flightless”, “Rarewalk”, “Flowerheads” or “Aurunca” that defy conventions and offer a provocative look at the human condition and the world around us. From intimate pieces to daring productions, the company surprises with a diverse and exciting repertoire.
The Elías Aguirre Company has been awarded important national and international prizes, such as the 1st Prize ADAE 2009, 1st Prize of the Certamen Burgos Nueva York 2010 and the 1st Prize Ibero-American Alicia Alonso 2010. Supported by institutions such as the Community of Madrid, Madrid City Council, AECID, SGAE, AC/E, Instituto Cervantes as well as creative residencies at the Teatros del Canal, his work has been recognized at world-renowned festivals.
